In 2004 I landed my gig at Asharq Al Awsat newspaper as its first fashion and Style editor. it was pretty unique as the newspaper was then more about politics than fashion.
Before joining the paper, I was a fashion producer at MBC television, then the cultural and art editor in Al Majalla magazine while contributing regularly to Hia and Arrajol magazines
-In 2013, was the first Arab journalist to join the revered list of the BOF as one of 500 most influential people in fashion.

Bio
-After graduating from university, all I wanted was to work in Media as an investigative journalist and to tell stories. I did not plan to pursue fashion; it was thrust upon me. After the initial resistance, I opened my mind and heart to its multidimensional facets, and my love story was born. I realized that it is about telling stories too. How a garment relates to an individual can tell so much about the time and the place as well as the frame of mind.
